The Status Window gives you feedback on what MacRTrace is doing at a given time. The status window looks like this:
 
The top line is a text description of what MacRTrace is doing at the moment. Below that there are two thermometers. The upper one either indicates the amount of time left in the current major task (as it is doing above), or runs a band of dark color across itself repeatedly, indicating that the program is working on a task of indeterminate length. The lower thermometer indicates the amount of memory used. When the dark area fills the entire thermometer, all free memory has been consumed, and MacRTrace cannot continue. If this happens, you should increase the amount of memory available to MacRTrace, by clicking on its icon in the Finder and choosing “Get Info...” from the File menu.
